For the Adventurous

As it is probably one of the least accessible albums ever, 1930 is best served loud and at other people's eardrums. Listening through the album in one sitting is quite a chore--and for this silly reason I can't help but say that I felt a feeling of accomplishment for passing through an album with such high-pitched screeches it hurts your hears, with such messy cacophony that it transforms your perception of music. Other than that, I don't really have a gauge to measure noise--good noise from bad, that is. It's varied and does come to some sort of climax and sounds complex so I suppose it is good. Give it a shot if you've got nothing better to do or are feeling masochistic.
Super Roots 8
Boredoms
Three Good Versions

If you like tribal-esque music like the Boredoms provided in (what I consider to be the best album ever) Vision Creation Newsun, then Super Roots 8 is an album you must listen to. The original is unbelievably great, and the two remixes do a great job transforming the melody into something different while maintaining the fantastic complexity of the original. It's a tough album to digest for those not introduced into the noise genre (which is why I suggest Vision Creation Newsun's Zutto as an accessible track, though the latter tracks of Super AE are also pretty good for beginners), but if you can let go of the usual song structure and patterns it's worth a listen.

for a new album. This single makes February 10th seem like a long time to wait, but it will be worth it. I am very very pleased with this song.

The worst part of a new cd....

Is being disappointed. Changing styles is fine, but not living up to their previous work is the fear of every fan. But lets say if Red producing a song like this on their upcoming album it will be GREAT. Love the song, heavily anticipating the album.

I heard undead and I expected the rest of the album to just be screamo rock, but the sound and vibe changes with each song. There's screamo, rock, rap, and electronica where I really didn't expect to hear, you listen through this album and you'll hear melodies and hooks that'll remind you of other artists. I haven't been bored yet.

Chroma was a great cd but this one is way better. The songwriting has improved beyond measure and is very influential. Beautiful voice, beautiful music, great sound, just all around awesome cd.
